  • 頭の片側、もしくは両側がズキズキと脈打つように痛む

  • お風呂に入る、運動をすると頭痛が酷くなる
  • めまいや吐き気をともなう
  • 寝込んでしまうほど酷くなる

そこで、痛みの続く偏頭痛の予防方法を下記に記しました。

痛みの続く偏頭痛の予防法①偏頭痛予防薬

痛みが出ると長時間続くため、偏頭痛がおこらないように対策をしなくてはいけません。あまりに症状が続く場合や月2回以上痛みがおこる場合、病院では予防薬を処方することがあります。

  • β遮断薬(プロプラノールなど):高血圧・不整脈などの合併症がある場合有効。心不全・ぜんそく・抑うつ状態のときは使用不可。
  • カルシウム拮抗薬:降圧薬など様々な用途に使われる。塩酸ロメリジンは保険適応で安全性が高いといわれている。
  • ACE阻害薬・APB :副作用の少ない降圧薬。偏頭痛と高血圧症がある場合、積極的に使われる。
  • 抗てんかん薬(バルプロ酸):もともとはてんかん治療薬だったが、偏頭痛患者に飲ませると発作の回数が減少することが確認されている。海外ではバルプロ酸以外のてんかん薬も偏頭痛予防薬として使用されている。
  • 抗うつ薬(アミトリプチン):偏頭痛に関係の深いセロトニン代謝の改善をうながす。偏頭痛と緊張型頭痛の併発に効果的。新しいタイプのSSRIに関してはまだ十分な数の科学的根拠があつまっていないため、今後に期待される。

こちらの薬剤を2カ月ほど続けてみて、様子をみます。効果がないようなら、合併症などを考慮しながら他の薬剤を試していきます。

偏頭痛のトリガーポイント(原因)は、人によって違います。自分のトリガーポイントを知るには、毎日記録を取り続けることです。しばらくすると何をしたら自分が偏頭痛になりやすいかがわかるようになります。

トリガーポイントになりやすいもの

  • チョコレート
  • チーズ
  • グレープフルーツ
  • 寝不足
  • ストレス
  • 強い光・音・臭い
  • 生理

自分のトリガーポイントに気付いたら、極力避けるようにします。避けることが難しい生理は、ピルを使って発生しそうな日をずらすことが可能です。日常では、生理痛がやわらぐような生活を心がけてみましょう。

痛みの続く偏頭痛の予防法③ビタミン・ミネラルを取る

偏頭痛にはマグネシウムとビタミンB2が有効だといわれています。

  • マグネシウムを多く含む食材:レバー、アーモンド、玄米など
  • ビタミンB2を多く含む食材:ひじき、黒豆など

フィーバーフューというハーブも偏頭痛に効果的だといわれています。ただし、子宮収縮作用があるので、妊婦の使用は避けてください。

偏頭痛の対策方法

それでは、次の項目から、実際に偏頭痛がおこったときに対処するべき方法を3つご紹介していきます。

偏頭痛がおこると、鎮痛剤を飲んでも痛みは続くので、薬を飲むときは痛みの出る前や出てすぐに飲むといいでしょう。ただし、乱用すると胃腸障害や薬物が原因の頭痛をおこすこともあるので、多くても月10回程度の使用に控えます。

市販の鎮痛剤よりも病院で処方されるトリプタン製剤のような偏頭痛治療薬のほうが痛みの軽減はされやすいようです。ただ、薬の金額が高めで続く人と続かない人がいるので、日常生活での予防が大切になりますね。

痛みの続く偏頭痛の治療方法②マッサージ

痛みを感じたら、頭の後ろ側、首の付け根あたりを10分ほどマッサージし続けます。ここには頭痛に効くツボがあり、長く続く痛みの緩和が期待されます。

その辺りは生理痛・血行改善・肩こり・鼻づまりにも効果があります。

痛みの続く偏頭痛の治療方法③安静に過ごす

偏頭痛がおこったら、しばらく音や光の刺激の少ない部屋で安静にします。

食欲がないときは無理に食事をすることはないですが、飴玉を食べるなど脳に糖分は与えておきましょう。カフェイン摂取も痛みの緩和に役立つといわれます。
